Ventrac versatility improves efficiency

The Ventrac 4520 compact tractor has over 32 different attachments, all designed by Ventrac to optimise the performance of each combination. For verge mowing there are several mower options depending on the conditions that require maintenance. The HQ682 Tough Cut is one of the most popular, capable of cutting tough, overgrown vegetation which is perhaps only maintained once a year. With the tractor’s 30 degree slope capability the combination is ideal for steep highway sloped verges, reservoir banks and other equally challenging slopes. These are often maintained with a small army of string trimmer operators, all of whom are susceptible to RSI when repeatedly standing on steep slopes. Existing customers have proven up to a 94% saving in man hours by using a Ventrac versus string trimmer teams.

The MA900 Boom Mower is another Ventrac attachment that can take on hedge cutting tasks often performed by labour intensive, hand held equipment. Unlike traditional boom mowers which usually have flail heads, the MA900 has a reciprocating blade similar hand held trimmers but of a greater capacity. This ensures a clean cut reducing disease risk to the plant and is the perfect tool for cutting back hedges, shrubs, saplings, reeds around pond edges, vegetation on riverbanks and lifting tree crowns. The reciprocating blades provide a cutting width of 1 m, a vertical reach of 3.61 m and horizontal reach of 2.6 m.
