From Stover Park Golf Club to Brightlingsea Town Council plus grass cutting contractors the main attraction of a Ventrac package is versatility. Stover Park’s Jason Brooks appreciates the articulating contour mower deck option which follows the undulations on his course so well and can work on slopes of up to thirty degrees. Slopes that used to be strimmed are now managed by one operator and the Ventrac. The finished cut offers better definition than strimmed areas and looks so much better.

Brightlingsea Town Council’s Grounds Manager, Terry Hamilton, commented when they purchased their Ventrac. “We’ve certainly purchased a very versatile piece of kit. We’re replacing an aging triple reel mower with this Ventrac and the MU (finishing mower) deck, which provides the same level of finish, so we’re not sacrificing quality or overall presentation. We have two recreation grounds to maintain, one of which is on clay and just above the water table, so can be very wet at certain times of the year. The Ventrac, in its eight-wheel configuration, has an exceptionally low ground pressure of just 6 psi, enabling us to mow, whatever the conditions.”

Service providers, idverde use their Ventrac’s for numerous contracts including verge side mowing on steep slopes with HQ682 Toughcut mowers. The light footprint and low centre of gravity make the Ventrac ideal for this kind of application but its not so specialist that it can’t be used for more regular mowing jobs.
