Couldn’t have gone better says Rupert Price

Rupert Price, the managing director of Price Turfcare, the UK and Ireland distributor for Ventrac and Ryan products say that this year’s SALTEX “could not have gone better.”

“This was our second time at SALTEX and we had an excellent show,” he said. ”Building on our first visit last year we took more space and improved the look of our stand. We had a specially designed ramp to display the Ventrac’s slope climbing ability and additional video screens to demonstrate features and benefits of both product ranges.

“What is particularly pleasing since our last visit is that some of our early Ventrac customers are coming back to add further attachments or in some cases, buying another machine. For instance, Darren Baldwin, at Tottenham Hotspur Football Club has added a couple of Power Brooms for maintaining the pathways, parking areas and synthetic pitches at their training centre, while Peter Pattenden at Carden Park purchased a second machine, because he has been so impressed with the versatility of his first machine.

“It shouldn’t surprise me, but I’m still amazed at the level of interest in our Ryan turf maintenance equipment. It has been around for decades, but there’s still a groundswell of loyal customers who want this smaller, but essential type of walk-behind machines.

“With regard to our Ventrac range, we took numerous good, solid enquiries and have already started to follow these up with demonstrations. We can’t sit in the office twiddling our thumbs after SALTEX; it’s a significant expense for our young business, so we have to get out there and show the machine to the interested parties.

“Interest in our blower attachments was higher than last year, so this was particularly encouraging as we transition from late autumn into winter. The Ventrac Power blower has a vertical shaft design which enables the blower housing to rotate 180 degrees in the horizontal axis. This allows the operator to move debris in any direction in front of the tractor unit.

“The Turbine blower is more powerful, designed to move large volumes of air, and much quieter than conventional leaf blowers. It can be used to blow leaves, light snow, and remove debris from paths, car parks and other areas.”
