A Ventrac and attachments could help protect “the financial bottom line”

In 2018 Managing Director of Price Turfcare, Rupert Price, made the bold statement that “For the sports turf manager, purchasing a Ventrac compact tractor and its multiple attachments could help protect the financial bottom line,” Since then, many UK customers have tended to agree with him and purchased a Ventrac with multiple attachments.

The Ventrac 4520 has four different mowing decks that will appeal to the sports turf manager and with a unique coupling system, the experienced operator can switch between options in less than one minute.

The MU720 1.83M (72”) rear discharge rotary has been very popular along with the MK960 2.41m (95”) rear discharge Wide Area offering a full width rear roller for a flat area striped finish. The rotary MJ840 Contour Mower, features a 2.13 metre (83 inch) working width. Three rear discharge decks float independently and follow the contours of the terrain with up to 40 degrees of motion for each side deck. Full length rear rollers facilitate even cutting and striping. All decks feature flip-up design for easy maintenance.

The MR740 Triplex Reel Mower is designed to be the ultimate trim and surround mower. With a 1.88 metre (74 inch) width of cut, variable speed hydraulics, standard back lapping valves, and offset capability. When fitted to the all-wheel drive Ventrac 4500 tractor with dual wheels, the MR740 can be operated on hills and slopes up to 30 degrees - allowing the operator to go where few other reel mowers can go.

Compaction can be a problem on regularly used sports turf, but Ventrac has the ideal solution. The AERA-vator attachment is designed to vibrate and loosen the soil beneath the grass without damaging the turf. It creates a hole without bringing a core to the surface, leaving the turf ready for use immediately following aeration. With a working width of 1.52 metres and a depth of 70 mm, the vibrating heads create six holes every 300 mm (66 holes per square metre) with the hole size regulated by the drive speed. An optional overseeder is available increasing efficiency in one pass

With more than 30 different attachments, the Ventrac 4500 is a truly versatile power unit, designed to work all year round. As stated earlier, it features all-wheel drive, an articulating frame plus the reliable 25 hp Kubota diesel engine providing unmatched versatility, power, stability and control to get a wide range of sports turf maintenance jobs done.
